It’s a new year and Sony jumped in early with new 4K and 8K releases.

Releases

A new release in their 8K range is the 85- or 75-inch Z8H LCD and the 55- or 65-inch A8H OLED.

In their 4K range, releases include Sony’s smallest OLED 4K, the Master Series A9S OLED and two other LCD 4K releases namely the X950H and X900H, available in sizes between 49- and 85-inches.

Airplay 2 and Homekit

All these releases include support for HomeKit and Airplay 2. The TV’s are able to connect to devices that also support Airplay 2, such as the Home-Pod and other speakers that support Airplay 2 and broadcast audio to those devices.

HomeKit allows the Sony TV’s to be visible in the Home app and you will be able to use Siri for action like volume control and switching the TV off and on.
