One of the biggest tech exhibitions is officially kicking off tomorrow 7 January 2020. The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) has expanded from having 250 exhibitors and only 17,500 curious attendees in 1967 to more than 4,400 exhibitors and more than 170,000 attendees from more than 160 countries in 2020.

You will already see some coverage from CES today. Press conferences and media previews already started yesterday (Sunday, 5 January) and will continue today, with the event officially starting tomorrow morning (Tuesday, 7 January).

What to Expect

There is an enormous list of categories at CES and with 4,400 exhibitors, writing articles of each product showcased is infeasible. I’ll be writing about the stories that are closest related to the wider consumer market and throw in a couple of interesting picks.

Topics

CES has a wide range of topics for 2020 which include Smart Cities, Home Entertainment, 5G, Accessibility and Digital Health.

Topics related to gaming includes Gaming in general, Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality.

On the more extreme side are Drones and Robotics.

The Startup section is a great place for new entrepreneurs to show off their new products to attract investors.
