Apple Smart Keyboard
General
The Smart Keyboard beats all Bluetooth keyboards in the sense that it has no lag and doesn’t need to be charged because of its physical connection to the iPad.
Scissor-Switch Design
Rumours say that Apple might release a new Smart Keyboard featuring a new scissor-switch design.
Apple shifted back to the scissor design with the release of the 16″ MacBook Pro, calling it their Magic Keyboard. The previous butterfly design had a few flaws ranging from being louder than most laptops to dust hampering the use of a key when it gets underneath the key.
Glowing Backlights
The Smart Keyboard could also receive a feature present on all Apple laptops, backlights. The word used by most sources is glowing, which could mean that Apple is probably going to release a new patent.
Having the backlit keyboard can change the way in which iPad Pro users work, especially users who use the iPad Pro primarily for professional writing or meeting with clients in restaurants with a low-light atmosphere.

With the addition of backlights and a new mechanism, the rumoured additions will improve typing and the overall experience of the iPad significantly. Let’s hope for a reasonable price for this vital accessory.
